Session 1

For advanced students and professionals 18+ years of age
May 29 to July 8 (6 weeks)

This session will include a 3-week immersion in William Forsythe’s Improvisational Technologies conducted by Alessio Silvestrin. Students will also develop two new works, one in collaboration with Alessio and one with Alex Ketley. Highly-challenging ballet and modern technique classes will be taught by Summer Lee Rhatigan, Chiharu Shibata, Christian Burns, and Alessio. All dancers will participate in theater performances on the last Friday evening and Saturday afternoon of the session.”

As the program days are 8-10 hours long, six days a week, we are careful to accept dancers who demonstrate not only great passion for their art form, but also physical strength, stamina and mental fortitude.
