Audition Information

Acceptance into the program is based on audition, either in-person or videotaped. Anyone wishing to audition for the Fall 2013 semester may arrange to do so at any of the scheduled auditions for the Summer Intensive Program in January/February by contacting Julia Cost.

Video Audition Requirements

Accepted formats: DVD (preferable) and VHS
Length: 10 minutes (approximately)
Please include:

• A spoken introduction by the dancer
• 4 exercises at the barre
• 5 minutes of center work through Grande Allegro (must be accompanied by music)
• any recent performance footage or solo work in the classroom which shows the dancer clearly

Also Required with your Video:

• A completed Registration Form
• A letter of intent describing your artistic goals
• A resume that includes dance training, teachers, performances and choreography studied
• A head-shot photograph
• Notification by email that your application has been sent
• Registration fee of $30 (check made payable to SF Conservatory of Dance)
