Children's Classes at SFC Dance Studios Resume!

Children's classes at SFC Dance Studios, a division of the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, resume this fall. Classes are taught by a fantastic faculty with a curriculum guided by Summer Lee Rhatigan, artistic director of SFCD.

Flashmob at TedxSF

On June 4th, students and alumni of the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance participated in a flashmob-style performance during the introduction of "ALIVE! Maximum Living as a Human," the fifth big TEDxSF gathering at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. This wonderful event was orchestrated and choreographed by Eli Nelson.

spring snapshots

Here at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, our spring has been crammed with special events. Here are some snapshots from just a few of them.

 

In celebration of Bay Area National Dance Week, we presented Dance/Screen: "Innovative International Dance Films" in April. Charlotte Shoemaker curated a wonderful selection of dance films from Mozambique, Denmark, Argentina, France, Italy, and the UK. We had a full house for the screening, and it was a pleasure to welcome some new people into our space.
