Rudy Apffel
Rudy, an extraordinary pianist and collaborator, submitted the following “biography” which we could not resist posting.
“This (2004) is my third year with Summer Rhatigan’s summer intensive program, and in my 30 years of work as a ballet accompanist this program is the most personally rewarding I’ve ever participated in. What’s unique about it is a shared intensity and focus that involves all of us, staff and students alike. I feel I learn and grow from this program as much as any of the students, and now I make a point of suspending all other summer commitments so as to be able to take part in it.”
