spring snapshots

Here at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, our spring has been crammed with special events. Here are some snapshots from just a few of them.

In celebration of Bay Area National Dance Week, we presented Dance/Screen: "Innovative International Dance Films" in April. Charlotte Shoemaker curated a wonderful selection of dance films from Mozambique, Denmark, Argentina, France, Italy, and the UK. We had a full house for the screening, and it was a pleasure to welcome some new people into our space.

A couple of weeks ago, we had our end of semester showing. Our year-round students showed new work choreographed by Alex Ketley and Christian Burns, as well as repertory by Robert Moses, which was set by the wonderful Tristan Ching.

Some of our youngest students also showed what they have been working on. Our Children's Program is led by the delightful Kaitlin Parks, and her charges are absolutely extraordinary in their powers of stealing the show.
