Bobbi Jene Smith

Dancer with Batsheva Dance Company, authorized by the internationally-acclaimed choreographer Ohad Naharin to teach his Gaga movement language and to set his works on approved dance companies

Biography

Bobbi has danced with the Batsheva Dance Company based in Tel Aviv, Israel since 2006 and is authorized by Ohad Naharin to teach his Gaga movement language and set his choreography. Her early dance training took place at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, North Carolina School of the Arts, and The Juilliard School under the direction of Lawrence Rhodes.

Mr. Naharin has sent Bobbi to the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance as his representative to teach Gaga and set a number of his works during the Conservatory’s Summer Intensive Programs of 2008, 2009 and 2010.

We look forward eagerly to her return during the summer of 2011.
